Smiley, Alvin, 82, of Rehoboth, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016. He was the loving husband of the late Wilma I. Smiley. Alvin was born in Providence, RI and was the son of the late Albert F. and Estelle (Baker). Alvin was the beloved father of Lori A. Sullivan, Amy L. Smiley and Michael J. Smiley. Alvin was also the grandfather of Robert Sullivan, Ian and Paige Smiley and Phillip Rouillard, III. Alvin was a United States Army Veteran and worked as a union Carpenter for many years. His funeral will be held on Friday, April 22'nd, at 10:00AM, in the J.H. WILLIAMS & CO. FUNERAL HOME, 210 Taunton Ave., East Providence. Calling hours are Thursday, April 21'st from 4-7PM. Burial will be in Rehoboth Village Cemetery, Rehoboth. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to, Department of Veterans Affairs, C/O VA Medical Center (135), 830 Chalkstone Ave., Providence, RI 02908.
