Edna F. (Cummings) Hicks

Edna F. (Cummings) Hicks, 93, of East Providence, died peacefully on Saturday, October 27, 2017 at Linn Health Care Center.  She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Hicks, Jr.  Born in Conway, MA, she was a daughter of the late Earle D. Cummings & Fedora (Petrin) Cummings.

Mrs. Hicks was a homemaker and secretary for her husband’s company SW Paving.  She was a member of the VFW and was an avid Red Sox fan.  

She leaves her loving children: William T. Hicks of Chepachet, Sharon L. Puerini of West Warwick, Mark S. Hicks & his wife Linda of TN, Crystal A. Bockes of East Providence, Timothy J. Hicks & his wife Robin of Seekonk.  She was the mother of the late Edward E. Hicks, Thomas J. Hicks, & Michelle Hicks.  Cherished grandmother of William Hicks, Scott Hicks, Katie Bockes & Nathan Hicks.  She was the beloved aunt of Valerie Spitieleri of FL.  She was the sister of the late Donald Cummings, Earle D. Cummings, Jr. & Emma Cummings.

Her graveside service in Spring Vale Cemetery will be private.  Calling hours are respectfully omitted.  Arrangements have been entrusted to J.H. WILLIAMS & CO. FUNERAL HOME, 210 Taunton Avenue, East Providence.
