Esmer N. Boudreau

BOUDREAU, Esmer W. (Nelson), 90, of Seekonk, died peacefully on May 23, 2016.  Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of Arthur F. and Esmer A. Nelson, sister of Arthur A. Nelson, and mother of Robert Nelson Boudreau, Deceased.

Esmer is survived by her daughter Carolyn Elizabeth Boudreau, her sister-in-law, Jeanne McCloud Nelson, and her nephew Arthur A. Nelson Jr., five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Esmer was a musician, playing for many years as an organist at various churches and functions in the area with her mother, including Union Church of Fall River and the Baptist Church of Warren, and served as choir director as well.  She also worked for over twenty years at Rhode Island Hospital as a medical technician.  Esmer was active in her community, serving as President of the Fall River Music Club for several years and working as a Medical technician in Civil Defense through the sixties, in addition to supporting the local Scout troops in Seekonk.

 Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 27, 2016 at 11:00 am in Seekonk Congregational Church, 600 Fall River Ave. Seekonk, MA.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.  Calling Hours will be held Sunday from 3-5 pm in J.H. WILLIAMS & CO. FUNERAL HOME, 210 Taunton Ave. East Providence.  In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, 4370 Tujunga Avenue, Suite 330, Studio City, CA 91604 will be appreciated.
