Joseph M. Pimentel

Joseph M. Pimentel, known to many as “Joe P”, passed away Friday morning, September 16, 2016 at Rhode Island Hospital with his loving family by his side at the age of 49.

He was the beloved husband of Tracey (Laroche) Pimentel.

Joe was born on June 1, 1967 a son of Blandina (DaCosta-Lima) Pimentel and the late Jose Pimentel.

Mr. Pimentel lived most of his life in Warren before moving to East Providence 23 years ago. He was employed with Holmes Landscape Service for many years.

Joe was a proud cheer dad of the East Providence Townies, an avid Yankee and Buffalo Bills fan. Joe’s pride and joy were his family. He cherished every moment he could with them. Though his life was short, and he will be missed by so many, all who knew him can smile knowing Joe just loved life and was always willing to help anyone.

Besides his beloved wife Tracey of over 22 years and his mother Blandina, he is survived by his loving children, Kendra Pimentel, Shana Pimentel, Sophia Pimentel all of East Providence and Amanda Skac of Warren. He was the brother of Gilda Church and her husband Steven of Warren, Eugene Pimentel and wife Deborah of Smithfield, RI. He also leaves 5 nieces, 2 nephews, 3 great-nephews and 2 great-nieces.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 4 to 7 pm followed by a service to begin at 7 pm in the J.H.Williams & Co. Funeral Home 210 Taunton Avenue East Providence. His burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Joe’s memory to any charity to help children, will be deeply appreciated.
