Alan Perreault, 89, of Barrington, died peacefully on August 26, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of the late Ruth V. Perreault. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Rudolph E. Perreault & Clara V. Perreault.
Mr. Perreault was a graduate of Bristol County Agricultural High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War directing a crew that built roads in Greenland. He was the founder of the John Deere heavy construction dealership in this area. Upon retirement, he enjoyed tending to his flower and vegetable gardens and traveling.
He leaves his two children: The Rev. Dr. Claudia P. Demick & her husband James of Barrington and Mark A. Perreault and his wife Sheila of Summerville, SC. He was the grandfather of four grandchildren. He was the brother of Audrey Sprague & her husband Robert of Palm City, FL and Janet Nichols of Sudbury, MA.
A private graveside service was held in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Barrington. Gifts in his memory to Seekonk Congregational Church will be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.H. WILLIAMS & CO. FUNERAL HOME.
