Bradford Robinson Obituary

Bradford N. Robinson, 86, of Riverside, died peacefully at home on Sunday, June 4, 2017.  Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Leonard M. Robinson & Millicent (Chenery) Robinson. 

Mr. Robinson was the former Chairman of the English Department at Tiverton High School, Language Arts Coordinator at Norwell High School, Director of Reading Boston University, & Associate Professor in the Early Enrollment Program at Rhode Island College.  He was a member of the Brown University Faculty Club.  

He was an Artist Member of the Providence Art Club & the Rhode Island Watercolor Society (Artist Level), Cellist with the Arlington Piano Trio, and a Docent for many years at Rhode Island School of Design.  

He was the 12th great-grandson of Pastor John Robinson of the Pilgrims.  

He leaves his nieces & nephews, Alfred Grimshaw, Ronald Robinson, Deborah Kennedy, & Judith Dullnig.  He was the brother of the late Charles Robinson, Donald Robinson, Hope Minot, Priscilla Luckett, Constance Grimshaw, & Elizabeth Tidd.  

A private graveside service will be held in Oak Grove Cemetery, Vineyard Haven, MA.  Calling Hours are respectfully omitted.  Gifts in Brad’s memory to the Providence Art Club (501 (c) (3) organization), 11 Thomas St., Providence, RI 02903 will be appreciated.  Arrangements have been entrusted to J.H. WILLIAMS & CO. FUNERAL HOME.
