Edward R. Lincoln, 64, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the beloved husband of Pam J. (Shears) Lincoln. Born in Providence, he was a son of Beverly E. (Halsall) Lincoln of Seekonk & the late Edward M. Lincoln.
Edward was a member of the Seaconke Wampanoag Indian Tribe where he served as War Chief for many years and served as President of Local 163 Steel Workers Union.
For many years, he was employed as a maintenance repair worker for the Rhode Island Indian Council & the RI Tool Co.
He was a long time member of the Rumford Rod & Gun Club of Rehoboth and volunteer at the Bethany Baptist Food Pantry. Over his lifetime, he donated 11 gallons of blood and volunteered for many charitable causes. He was a proud hunter and avid gardener.
In addition to his wife & mother, he leaves his five loving brothers: David Lincoln & his wife Cindy, Douglas Lincoln & his wife Ronnie Lyn, Andrew Lincoln & his wife Laurie, Dr. Rodger Lincoln & his wife Denise, & Peter Lincoln, all of Seekonk. He was the cherished uncle of Daisy & Matt Ferreira, Nicole Martel, Katie Besse, Melissa Ferreira,Rachael Lincoln, Erica Lincoln, Rodger Lincoln, Scott Lincoln, Andrew Lincoln, Bobbi Lincoln, Aaron “Arrow” Blanchette, Raven Blanchette, Amber Blanchette, & many great-nieces & nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 at 10:00 am at J.H. WILLIAMS & CO. FUNERAL HOME, 210 Taunton Avenue, Route 44, East Providence. Burial will follow in Rumford Cemetery.
Relatives & friends are invited & may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00-8:00 pm.
