George Zajac Obituary
ZAJAC, George F., 86, of Astoria, NY, died peacefully on March 28, 2017. Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late Stanley & Stella (Deutschman) Zajac.
Mr. Zajac worked as store manager in the retail industry until his retirement. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, being honorably discharged as an Airman First Class. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Astoria.
He leaves his sister in-law, Delfina Zajac of East Providence and his nephew, George M. Sadler and his wife Deborah of Rehoboth, MA. He was the brother of the late Frank Zajac, William Zajac, & John Zajac. He also leaves many nieces & nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 10:00 am in Holy Cross Chapel, 47 Pulaski St., Fall River. Burial with full Military Honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.H. WILLIAMS & CO. FUNERAL HOME, 210 Taunton Avenue, Route 44, East Providence, RI.
