Marty, I have never met you...but want to give you hugs! I live in Rumford,1st met Nancy when Colleen was in my brownie troupe. Unlike some mothers, I got to know Nancy enough to know she hadn't used wallpaper on her walls in her home on Nimitz, but quilted fabric. Although its been many years, I won't forget that about her.
Next chapter in my life...I worked at Anchor Travel. Nancy became an outside agent. It was like our friendship had never ceased. We enjoyed each other's company all over again. Right next to me now, is a teddy bear, she gave me along with a book You don't look old enough to be a grandmother. A gift that she gave me 25 years ago, when my 1st granddaughter was born. Christmas, always meant her cranberry bread, wrapped with a pretty ribbon. I remember her warm smile., generosity, and love of all things! Although, I haven .t worked at Anchor in 22 years, I am friends of someone who is still associated with them. She told me Sunday of Nancy's passing. AND how to access her obituary. Marty and family..my deepest sympathy.
