Adrienne Jean (Doherty) Arruda, 72, beloved wife of Robert John Arruda passed away April 4, 2021 at Hope Hospice after a short illness.

Adrienne was born on December 31, 1948 to Wayne E. Doherty and Marion E. (Bedford) Doherty. She was a lifelong resident of East Providence. Adrienne worked for many years at the former J.J. Gregory’s and H. Carr and Sons.

Loved by her two children and son-in-law, Lisa and Michael Pucino of Seekonk and Robert W. Arruda of East Providence. She was the devoted grandmother “Nana” to Bethany Pucino and Logan Arruda. She was the sister of Chuck Doherty of East Providence and the late Marcia Ballard. She was a treasured friend to Ruth Belanger.

Her funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation will be appreciated.
