Anna (Batista) Long

Anna (Batista) Long, 82, of East Providence, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Evergreen House Health Center.  She was the wife of the late William J. Long.  Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joaquim Batista & Beatrice (Coelho) Batista..

Mrs. Long worked as a stock room clerk with Ann & Hope for many years until her retirement.

She leaves a daughter, Anna M. Dufresne and her husband William of North Woodstock, NH.  She was the mother of the late Mary E. Fleming.  Cherished grandmother of Dawn M. Fleming of Lexington, KY, Tammy L. Lima of Rumford, Eric S. Fleming of Rumford, Nicole M. Long of Pawtucket, Walter M. Bell of Pawtucket, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.   She was the sister of Delores Corricelli of South Carolina, Marcia Carpenter of Rumford, and the late Joseph Batista, James Batista, Antonio Batista, & Sally Keough.

Her funeral and burial will be private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to J.H. WILLIAMS & CO. FUNERAL HOME.
