Beverly S. Vale, 86, of East Providence, formerly of Cranston, died peacefully on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Evergreen House Health Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Vale. Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late William D. Morton & Edith (Brace) Morton.
Mrs. Vale was the Executive Secretary for Alan Shawn Feinstein for many years. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Johnson & Wales University. Upon retirement, she worked as secretary for Church of the Transfiguration in Cranston. She was a former Communicant of Trinity Episcopal Church where she served on the altar guild.
She leaves her loving son, Kenneth C. Vale & his wife Monica of Cranston, grandson Andrew J. Vale of Oregon, and sister Iris Mello of Warwick. She was the sister-in-law of the late Charles Mello, and the aunt of Beverly Lois Melfi, Steven Mello, Jeffrey Mello, and the late Gregory Mello. She was the sister of the late Earle Morton & Warren Morton.
Her Requiem Eucharist will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 11:00 am in Church of the Transfiguration, 1665 Broad Street, Cranston. Burial will follow in Springvale Cemetery, Rumford.
