Carmine,"Brother" DeCristoforo Obituary

DeCristoforo, Carmine,"Brother", 81, died Wednesday. Born in Providence, he was son of the late Carmine and Jennie DeCristoforo. For many years, Mr. DeCristoforo was owner and operator of the Stop and Go Franchise. He also was owner of Interstate Contracting. He was one of the founding members of the Mohawks Football team, started the Softball League at Bay View Academy, and, for many years, he was manager and sponsor of the Rumford Cardinals Girls Softball team. He was a member of the US Coast Guard. Mr. DeCristoforo leaves his daughters: Lynda Hopkins, Laura DeCristoforo and Leslie Escobar, and 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was father of the late Lorraine DeCristoforo. He also leaves a brotherAnthony DeCristoforo, and sisters: Nina Vincent, Nancy Guardini and Baby DeCristoforo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 12’th at 10:00 AM, in our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Avenue, East Providence. Calling hours are Tuesday 4-6 PM, in the J.H. WILLIAMS & CO. Funeral Home, 210 Taunton Ave., East Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Donations to the DeCristoforo family will be greatly appreciated.
