Claire G. Vilandre, 87, a former resident of Central Falls, and retired Licensed Practical Nurse at Hospice St. Antoine, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2022 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro after a period of declining health.
Born on September 11, 1934 in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Romeo Vilandre and Imelda (Daunais) Vilandre.
She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and received her Nursing Degree at St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing, formerly in North Providence. She was also a longtime devoted Communicant of Notre Dame Parish, Central Falls.
She is survived by her sister, Cecile, and her husband, Robert Desrosiers of Attleboro. She was the cherished aunt of Denise Stevenson (Michael) of Attleboro, Raymond Desrosiers of Attleboro, Renee Brown (Brian) of Seekonk, Ann McCarthy (Daniel) of Attleboro, and grand-aunt of Craig & Adam Stevenson, Michael & Thomas Desrosiers, Jaime Morin, Devan & Raegan McCarthy.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in Holy Spirit Parish, 1030 Dexter Street, Central Falls. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
