David Rockett

David Rockett, 60, of Somerville, formerly of Fall River, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 1, 2023 at Mass General Hospital.  Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Dr. Joseph M. Rockett, Jr. and Marion (Hague) Rockett. 

David was an avid Boston sports fan.  Hockey, basketball, football, baseball, he watched them all.  

He was a handyman, and he could fix anything.  David was always willing to help those in need, as is evident by him being an organ donor. 

David leaves his sisters Ann Rockett-Sperling, Kathy Rockett, Polly Phenix (Maurice), Rosemary Hopkins (Tom) and his brothers Bill Rockett, Stephen Rockett (Kelly), and Christopher Rockett (Anne). He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Joan Rockett, brother Joseph Michael Rockett, III, and nephew Brendan Rockett.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover Street, Fall River.  Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery will be private.  Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
