Donald A. Bowden

East Providence

Bowden, Donald A.,  71, of Rumford, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Meribeth (Albers) Bowden for 47 years. Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Everett N. and Laura E. (Lundgren) Bowden, he was a lifelong resident of East Providence. He leaves his children, Eric A. Bowden and Karl W. Bowden of Ledyard, CT and Alison A. Bowden and her husband Daniel Bessette of Holbrook, MA. He was the brother of David E. Bowden of Seekonk.

He was a US Army Veteran, served on the East Providence Fire Department for 30 years, and was an Electrical Contractor for 50 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Volunteer Services for Animals, East Providence Chapter, P.O. Box 16142 Rumford, RI 02916 in Donald's memory would be deeply appreciated.  

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, 6/21, at 2:00 PM, in Newman Congregational Church, 100 Newman Ave., East Providence.  Arrangements entrusted to the J.H. Williams & Co. Funeral Home.
