Frederick J. McCaughey, III

Frederick J. McCaughey, III, 40, of Rumford, died November 25, 2021. He was the fiancée of Nona M. Gaye. Born in Providence, he was the son of Frederick J. McCaughey of East Providence and Lynda L. Hopkins of East Providence.  He was the stepson of William A. Hopkins of Rehoboth.  

Freddy was employed as the project director at Southbridge Hotel and Conference Center in Southbridge, MA. He loved sports and spending time with his nieces and nephews.  

In addition to his fiancée and parents, he leaves his loving children: Rylee R. McCaughey, Isabella R. Torres, Jordan Steeves, and Sierra Lynn Basford. Cherished grandfather of Julius Steeves. He was the brother of Patricia-Lee M. McCaughey of Pawtucket and uncle of Donovan X. Paiva.   He also leaves many aunts, uncles, and cousins.      

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 10:00 A.M.  in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Avenue, East Providence. Burial will follow in Rumford Cemetery.
