Howard E. Ide

Charlestown Ide, Howard E., 95, husband of the late Marjorie (Phillips) and Florence (Smith), died on Sept. 29'th. Born in East Providence, he was a son of the late William and Bessie (Barney) Ide. Mr. Ide was a WW II Navy Veteran. He was the former owner and President of the City Foundry Co. of East Providence and was a member of the Charlestown Historical Society and Hope Congregational Church. He leaves sons, Philip H. and William S. Ide, daughters, Marcia McOsker and Marjorie I. Gardner. He was lovingly known as "Grampee" to 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was also predeceased by a son John B. Ide, and a brother, Winsor Ide. Funeral services are respectfully private.
