James T. Russell, Jr. passed away at the age of 86 in peace, surrounded by his family on February 8, 2013. A loving husband of 62 years, a father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a dear friend, he lived a full, rich life, with no regrets. He was born in Pawtucket, R.I. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy in WWII in the Pacific theater. He worked at the General Electric Company for over 35 years and lived most of his life in New England, moving to Houston to be near family in 2010. He served on the Board of Directors and became Chairman of the Board of both the Pittsfield G.E. Employees Credit Union and the Pawtucket Credit Union. He was very proud of the work he did on these boards to highlight the importance of education on topics relating to running a successful credit union.
He is survived by his beloved wife Kathryn Russell, daughters Marilyn Russell Ablan (James Ablan), Pamela Russell (David Quick), grandsons John Russell Ablan, Gregory James Ablan, sister Elizabeth Fontaine (George Fontaine) and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James T. Russell, Sr. and Ethel Andrews Russell, his sisters Ethel Livsey, Esther Russell, and Ruth Greeno and his brother, Robert Russell.

Kathryn E. Russell passed away peacefully at home on October 10, 2013 with family at her side. She was 87 years old. She was a devoted and loving wife of 62 years, a loving and caring mother, a grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend to many throughout her lifetime.
She was born in Colonie, NY and lived much of her life in the Berkshires where she and her husband raised their family.
She worked for the General Electric Company as an executive secretary. She enjoyed entertaining and was a formidable bridge player. She was a gatherer of family and friends and loved to play board games. She and her husband Jim crisscrossed the country by train. They loved meeting and talking with their fellow travelers. Where you saw one, you saw the other.
She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Russell Ablan (James Ablan), Pamela Russell (David Quick); grandsons John Russell Ablan and Gregory James Ablan, sisters-in-law Jean and Elizabeth (George) and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband James T. Russell, Jr.; her parents William and Helen; and brothers Robert and William.
A memorial service, celebrating the lives of James T. Russell, Jr. and Kathryn E. Russell, will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 10:00 AM, in the J.H. Williams & Co, Funeral Home, 210 Taunton Ave., East Providence, RI. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Spring Vale Cemetery, Rumford, RI
