Joseph B. Rapoza, jr.

Joseph B. Rapoza, Jr. 77, of Berkley, went to be with the Lord on July 12, 2023 at Mount Auburn Hospital.  He was the loving husband of Sharon V. (Haskell) Rapoza.  Born in Taunton, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph B. Rapoza, Sr. and Olive (Marcks) Rapoza.  

Joe was employed as a groundskeeper at Wheaton College.  In his younger years, he was an arborist in California.   He was a member of West Dighton Christian Church and a member of the Taunton Rifle Pistol Club, where he was an award-winning shooter in archery and long rifle.  

In addition to his wife, he leaves his loving daughter, Christy M. Cassidy and her husband Joshua of Fall River.  Cherished grandfather of Braxton B. Cassidy and Weston W. Cassidy.  He was the brother of the late Diane Powers.   He also leaves many nieces and nephews.  

His Memorial Service will be held Monday, July 24, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. in West Dighton Christian Church, 2767 Horton Street, Dighton.  Burial in West Dighton Christian Church Cemetery will be private.  Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to West Dighton Christian Church will be appreciated.
