Kenneth H. Martin, Jr., 79, a long-time resident of Seekonk, died peacefully at his home. He leaves his wife of 59 years, Nancy A. (Rix) Martin. In 1950, as a Junior at Aldrich High School in Warwick, Mr. Martin joined the US Navy and was stationed at the Submarine Unit at Fields Point in Providence. Later, in 1961, he was Commissioned as an Ensign and served 2 years active duty aboard the submarine USS Angler. From 1977 to 1979, as a reservist, he served as Commanding Officer of the Fields Point Unit until finally retiring as Commander on 10/30/93. Additionally, Kenneth was employed in sales in the precious metals industry for many years. Besides his wife he leaves his children; Janet Rojas (Wilfredo) of Cranston, Deborah Florio (Joseph) of Chepachet, Elaine Martin of Burriville, Glenn Martin (Laurie Sharp) of N. Attleboro, Stacy Martin of Seekonk and Alan Martin (Lynn Angiolillo) of Rehoboth, 13 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren. He also leaves a brother John M. Martin of Warwick and a sister, Cynthia Radican of Iowa. Funeral Services are respectfully private.
