Obituary

Lena D. McDonald, 92, of Seekonk, passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2023.  She was the wife of the late James A. McDonald.  Born in North Attleboro, MA, she was a daughter of the late Alfred Lacasse and Cherie (Sarazin) Lacasse

Mrs. McDonald was a Registered Nurse at Pawtucket Memorial Hospital and Miriam Hospital throughout her career.  She was a Communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Seekonk. She loved cooking, reading, crocheting, traveling, and camping with family.  One of her greatest joys was hosting family campfires.

She leaves her loving children: James J. McDonald of Seekonk, David J. McDonald and his wife Johanna of Norton, Karen E. Ravenell and her husband Stephen of Warwick, Maureen L. McDonald of Seekonk, and Edward M. McDonald and his wife Amy of Seekonk.  She was the mother of the late Patricia A. McDonald.  Cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Cherie Pelissier of Swansea and the late Edward Lacasse.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 13, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 984 Taunton Avenue, Seekonk, MA. Burial will follow in Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.  

Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to Covenant House, P.O. Box 758636, Topeka, KS 66675 will be appreciated. 

Arrangements are in the care of the Home of J.H. WILLIAMS & CO.
