PAYNE, Lois M. (Darling), 89, died peacefully on January 17, 2018 at Eastgate Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late George F. Payne. Born in Seekonk, she was the daughter of the late Fred J. Darling & Ruth (Butterworth) Darling.
Mrs. Payne was a homemaker and a former member of Second Baptist Church in East Providence for many years. She was a member of Colonial Baptist Church of Rumford and member of the Social Club of City View & Goldsmith Manor.
She leaves her loving niece, Mary E. Arruda of Seekonk & nephews Raymond E. Hodde, III of Seekonk, Greg J. Hodde of Attleboro & the late Fred C. Hodde. She also leaves her three loving grand-nephews. She leaves her dear friends, Kathy Fernandes and the late Jackie Bertheume.
Relatives & friends are invited & may call on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from the hours of 5:00-7:00 pm with a service to follow at J.H. WILLIAMS & CO. FUNERAL HOME, 210 Taunton Avenue, Route 44, East Providence. Burial in Butterworth Family Cemetery will be private. Kindly omit flowers. Gifts in her memory to INSIGHT, 43 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, RI 02888 will be appreciated.
