Marguerite Goodwin Fowler

Marguerite Goodwin Fowler, 92, of Spring Hill, FL, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025 in her son's home in CT. She was the wife of Russell M. Fowler and the late Raymond E. Goodwin.  Born in Montreal, Canada, she was a daughter of the late William W. Oliver and Elsie Pearl (Billings) Oliver.

Originally born and raised in Canada, Marguerite always held an enduring affection for her home country, even after settling into her new life in Rhode Island in 1951. She received great joy from serving at Zion Gospel Temple in East Providence, RI, where she and her late husband, Raymond, faithfully ministered for more than 35 years.

Marguerite was an exceptionally creative and gifted individual. She loved painting, gardening, and baking. She lived her life devoted to her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and nothing pleased her more than spending time with her children and extended family.

In her later years, she cherished the opportunity to travel, and to reside in Spring Hill, FL with her husband, Russell, enjoying new seasons of life and companionship

She leaves her loving children: William E. Goodwin & his wife Sandra of Sterling, CT and Dawn M. Kalapuch & her husband Fabian of Burlington, NJ.  She was the mother of the late Steven R. Goodwin and mother-in-law of Mary Fisher of West Point, Virginia.  Cherished grandmother of Kristen Blair, Cassandra Patus, Steven Goodwin, Joshua Goodwin, Matthew Kalapuch, Andrew Kalapuch, Mikayla Kalapuch, and great-grandmother of Natalie and Owen Blair, Lily, Anna, Jayne, and Luke Patus, Gabrielle and Ariana Goodwin.  She was the sister of Joan Ankcorn of Brampton, Ontario.

Friends may call on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. with a service to follow in the Home of J.H. WILLIAMS & CO., 210 Taunton Avenue, East Providence.  Burial will follow in Springvale Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to Salvation Army ARC in Providence, RI will be appreciated.
