Maria Lourdes Lopes Dias Silva

Maria Lourdes Lopes Dias (Tiago) Silva, 94, of Cumberland passed on November 10, 2021, at HopeHealth Hospice Center.  She was the wife of the late Fausto Cardoso Silva.  Born in Trancoso, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Joao D. and Maria D. (Lopes) Tiago.  She came to this country June 6, 1966, settling in Pawtucket and resided in Cumberland for twenty years.  She worked twenty five years in the textile industry. 

She leaves her daughter Ana R. (Rogerio A.) Soares of Cumberland.  Her sisters Albertina Costa and Amelia Tiago.  Her brothers Joao Mario Tiago and Fernando Tiago.  Grandmother of Rogerio (Nicole)  Soares Jr. of Attleboro, Fatima (Joseph) Araujo of Lincoln and Fausto (Celeste) Soares of North Attleboro. Great-Grandmother of Brandon Soares, Tyler McNulty, Alexis McNulty, Andrew Soares, Isabella Soares, Jacob Araujo, Samuel Soares and Joshua Araujo. 

A funeral gathering will be held on Monday November 15, 2021 at 8:45 a.m. in the J.H. Williams & Co. Funeral Home 210 Taunton Avenue East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Fatima Church in Cumberland at 10 a.m. 

Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Sunday November 14, 2021 from 5 to7 p.m.  Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland.
