Marie Lourdes Ariane Fernandes

Marie Lourdes Ariane (Ithier) Fernandes, 56, of East Providence, died February 19, 2020 at Boston Medical Center.  She was the wife of the Rev. Jorge B. Fernandes.   Born in Mauritius, she was a daughter of the late Eugene France Ithier & Marie Florence (Magon) Ithier.

Marie was a Missionary and Youth Leader with Zion Gospel Church and was a graduate of Zion Bible Institute.  She was Vice President of Mordecai Services in Cape Verde and was the Pastor of the Assemblies of God.   

She leaves her loving children: John Fernandes of East Providence, Grace Feranandes of Cape Verde, & Ageu Fernandes of Cape Verde.  She was the sister of seven brothers and one sister.   

Her Funeral Service was held Friday, February 28, 2020 at 11:00 am in Zion Gospel Church, East Providence.  Burial followed in Springvale Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to J.H. WILLIAMS & CO. FUNERAL HOME, 210 Taunton Avenue, East Providence.
