Milton Leroy Saunders, 90, passed away peacefully on March 14, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chelmsford, MA, the son of the late Leroy Saunders and Pearl (Fiske), He was the beloved husband of Florence (Cole) for 70 years. Milton is survived by his three daughters Karen Biernacki , husband John, Elaine Hill, husband Robert, Valerie Saunders and two grandchildren, He is also survived by two sisters, June Alsop, Patricia Furey, and predeceased by the late Barbara Potter. Milton joined the Navy, Seabees in 1943, and served in WWII in the Pacific, when he returned he worked as a union carpenter for many years. Milton enjoyed bicycling, playing drums, sailing and most of all taking great pride in restoring 1930 Model A Fords. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday March 25^th at 10:30am in the J.H.Williams Funeral Home, 210 Taunton Ave. East Providence, RI.
