Nancy A. (Rix) Martin

Martin, Nancy (Rix), 79, a long-time resident of Seekonk MA, died peacefully at home, with her children by her side, on March 12, 2014.  Nancy was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Kenneth H. Martin Jr. 

She was past president and member of the Rumford Jr. Women's Club, past ATHA board member as well as an active leader in scouting both boys and girls.    She was a homemaker and avid supporter of all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren's endeavors from athletics and dance to their careers in business.  Nancy loved the simple pleasures of life from spending time with family to sitting at ball fields and dance recitals.  As a talented creative rug hooker, she developed treasures for many whom she loved. 

She will be forever missed by her children, Janet Rojas and husband Wilfredo, Deborah Florio and husband Joseph, Elaine Martin Healy, Glenn Martin and wife Laurie (Sharp), Stacy Martin, Alan Martin and wife Lynn (Angiollo), her 13 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren.  As well as her brothers Robert Rix and wife Lorraine, Dr. Kenneth Rix and wife Barbara and Sister Patricia Millette. 

A graveside service and celebration of Nancy’s life will be held on March 29’th, at 11:00 AM, in the Seekonk Cemetery, Newman Ave., Seekonk.
