Norman A. Burns, 88, of Fall River, died peacefully at home on Thursday, March 18, 2021. He was the loving husband of Maryann (Waterman) Burns. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Norman E. Burns and Eva M. (LeBlanc) Burns.
Mr. Burns was a graduate of Durfee High School, Class of 1950 and a graduate of Bradford Durfee Technical College where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the USS Henley DD-762 Association and a member of the VFW.
Mr. Burns was employed with Arkwright Finishing Co. of Fall River as a production manager for many years until his retirement.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his sons: James A. Burns and his wife Joyce of Little Compton, David M. Burns and his wife Agnes of Fall River, Peter Burns of Fall River, and Paul Forcina of Worcester, MA. Cherished grandfather of Craig Burns, Jenna DeBortoli and her husband Angelo, Philip Farrar, Sara Forcina, Aiden Forcina, Anna Forcina, and great-grandfather of Angelo DeBortoli, IV.
His funeral and burial with Military Honors in Massachusetts National Cemetery will be private. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
