Cook, Richard A., 77, husband of Joan (Fulton) Cook, died 3/16/14, in Florida.  Born in Pawtucket, he was son of the late Lawrence and Mary (King) Cook. 

Richard was president of Ken-L-Ray Container Service in East Providence from 1954 until retirement. He served in the US Army, was a member of American Legion Post #10 Riverside, RI and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #4356, Lakeland, FL.

Affectionately known to each other as “Rida” Richard and Joan enjoyed their time together and with friends. Richard lived his life on his own terms, while also considering whose life he might touch.  His life was about hard work, principles and loyalty to those he cared for.

Besides his wife, Mr. Cook leaves his children; Laurie (John) Dias, Scott (Judy) Cook and Richard and Elizabeth (Machado) Cook, grandchildren; Jessica, Jamie, Megan Blais,Michaela and Haley Cook, siblings; Kenneth Cook, Carol Abbood and Barry Cook.  He was predeceased by his brother Lawrence (Skippy) Cook. He is  Also survived by many nieces and nephews and leaves the mother of his children, Barbara Cook Rebello.  

Interment in Swan Point Cemetery will be at a later date.
