Richard C. Chappell

Rehoboth Chappell, Richard C, 91, devoted husband and father, died on Aug. 6’th. A life-long resident of Rehoboth, he was husband of the late Roberta (Halsall) Chappell and father of Ronald Chappell, wife Lynne. He is also survived by grandsons Kevin, Jason, and granddaughter-in-law Erin one great grandson, Kaleb, and a sister Etta Dionne. He was father of the late Richard, Jr. and Michael Chappell. Born in Rehoboth, he was son of the late George and Etta (Sherman) Chappell. Mr. Chappell was a WW II U.S. Coast Guard Veteran, serving in the North Atlantic and Pacific during the Phillipine evacuation. Dick worked for many years as a Molder for the Gorham Manufacturing Company. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 12'th at 9:00 AM, in the J.H WILLIAMS & CO. FUNERAL HOME, 210 Taunton Ave., East Providence. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Spring Vale Cemetery, Rumford, RI. Calling hours are Monday 6-8PM.
