Richard C. Robbins, 73, of South Dartmouth, died November 20, 2024 at Morton Hospital surrounded by his two sons. He was the husband of the late Melissa A. (Scott) Robbins. Born in New Bedford, he was a son of the late Thomas G. Robbins and Barbara H. (Kelley) Robbins.
Mr. Robbins owned and operated Ocean’s Delight Seafood Restaurant in New Bedford and was an independent contractor with Snap-On. He was a volunteer Firefighter with Dartmouth Fire District 1 in Padnaram for 23 years.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy, being honorably discharged with the rank of BUCA.
He leaves his two sons, Scott G. Robbins & his wife Ashley Ferris of Seekonk and Zachary S. Robbins and his wife Jennifer of Norton. Cherished grandfather of Melyssa Ann-Scott Robbins, Mackenzie V. Robbins, Cole Robbins, and Danica Robbins. He was the brother of Susan Judge Britton of Memphis, TN and the late Charles G. Robbins.
His graveside service in Rehoboth Village Cemetery will be private. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
