Rita Scarpitti Obituary

Rita L. Scarpitti, 95, of Riverside, died peacefully on Monday, October 4, 2021 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Salvatore L. Scarpitti for 71 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Stanley R. Fisher and Lillian L. (Willey) Fisher.

Mrs. Scarpitti was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family.

She leaves loving daughter, Janice M. Scarpitti-Pires & her husband Scott of Riverside. Cherished grandmother of Erin C. Dunne of Lincoln, Colleen J. O’Brien of Warwick, & great-grandmother of Samuel S. O’Brien, Grace L. O’Brien, & Paige S. O’Brien, all of Warwick. She was the sister of the late Raymond Fisher. She also leaves her loving dog “Rosie.”

Private funeral services were held in the chapel of J.H. WILLIAMS & CO. FUNERAL HOME. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 will be appreciated.
