Stephen Northup Obituary

Stephen W. Northup passed away on January 11, 2021 at the age of 68 after many years of failing health. Stephen was the son of George and Mary (Stephenson) Northup. He was born in Providence and raised in Riverside, RI. Stephen was a graduate of St. Andrews school in Barrington, RI. He received a bachelor degree from Roger Williams University. He was a US Army veteran. Stephen was employed in the transport department of Rhode Island Hospital until he retired due to ill health. He had vivid memories of being called to duty at the hospital in the aftermath of the Station nightclub fire.

Stephen is survived by his sister Donna-Lee (Northup, Galvin) Connors. He is also survived by his niece Kelly A. Brunette, and his nephew Bryan J. Galvin. Grand-nephews Eli and Finnian and grand-niece Clementine will all miss their "Uncle Steve".

Donations in Stephen's memory can be made to Hope Health Hospice, 1085 North Main St, Providence, RI 02904.

His funeral and burial in Rehoboth Village Cemetery will be private.
