Rumford
Berwick, Virginia E. (Kent), 96, wife of the late Earl L. Berwick, died Saturday, April 19'th. A life-long resident of East Providence, she was the daughter of the late Edward E. and Alice A. (King) Kent. Virginia was an active member of Newman Congregational Church in Rumford and was a former Deacon and the Flower Committee person for over 40 years. Ginny was a Mayflower descendent, a charter member of the East Providence Historical Society and was a member of the Hattie Ide Chaffee Home Auxiliary. She leaves her children and their spouses; Janice E. and James Waters, Bruce E. and Barbara Berwick, Karen V. and Conrad Rousseau, William E. and Susan Berwick, Nancy L. and Russell James and Earl L., Jr. and Paulette Berwick, 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She also leaves her brothers Richard E. and E. Leonard Kent. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Diane Lakey and siblings; Lois Duckworth, Alice Benson, Esther Anderson, Everett, Ralph and Harold Kent. A Memorial Celebration of Virginia's life will be held on Thursday, April 24'th at 10:00 AM, in the Newman Congregational Church, 100 Newman Avenue, Rumford, RI 02916.
